The lovely Manila Luzon from Season Three of RuPaul’s Drag Race attended Saturday night’s GLAAD Media Awards event in NYC with Season Two contestant Sahara Davenport. Both ladies wore blue gowns, (rather boring and bland blue gowns in our opinion) but most interestingly, Ms Luzon wore a blue gown that featured a BIG, BLUE RIBBON as part of the garment! Uh, what is she trying to say with that dress? Is it a statement that, “Hey, I’m wearing a blue ribbon which means I WON “Drag Race”!”, or is she just being “funny” wearing an awards symbol to an awards show? Or, does it say the opposite of, “I won!” and indicates that she lost? It’s a bit confusing and rather controversial because ALL contestants on competitive television shows sign very large contracts that demand they NOT reveal the outcome of the competition prior to the airing of the show…there can be harsh penalties if those terms are violated. And, whether or not Ms Luzon is the winner or not, she very well might have violated those terms by wearing the dress. Revealing that you DIDN’T win is just as bad as revealing that you DID win. We’re guessing she’s just being “funny” here, but we’re also wondering if she got chewed out by her network, Logo today for being a “naughty girl”… Time will tell.
And, both ladies also get an “F” for their RC posing…they look AWFUL here!
