A still from "Blinding" a film by Steve Sanguedolce.

We LOVE documentaries and the Seattle International Film Festival has some great ones this year but we’re focusing on one screening this Friday, June 3 at 4:30pm at SIFF Cinema. Blinding looks at three individuals: “a writer who went blind, a lesbian cop, and an Air Force pilot who witnessed genocide”. Using 16mm footage, hand processed effects and a unique perspective, director Steve Sanguedolce weaves the stories of these three individuals into a complex and compelling narrative of unusual beauty and power.

Seattle Gay Scene has tickets for the final screening of Blinding for Friday night, so it’s your last chance to see this film at SIFF AND with the director in attendance. All you have to do is answer ONE simple trivia question, in the comments to receive a PAIR of tickets to the screening. First four correct answers WIN! Here’s the question:

This famous blind person was also deaf…AND a Socialist…AND, portrayed by Patty Duke on stage and film. Who was she?

Start your engines, and may the best movie lover…WIN!

AND, we’ll be back LATER with another great ticket giveaway for another awesomely brilliant film…WEEKEND! (Please note: does not involve a dead guy named Bernie…)
