The Gay Softball World Series was held in Mr. Strangeways’ old stomping grounds, Minneapolis, Minnesota last weekend (Is the Saloon still open?) and Seattle sent a slew of teams from the Emerald City Softball Association: SEVEN, including Seattle Inferno who won FIRST PLACE in the D Division out of 48 teams! AND, the Seattle Strokes won first place in the Masters Division, for players over 50 years old!

Congrats to the winners and the other teams who participated in Minneapolis this year including the Dirty Dawgs, Battalion, SeaWolves, Pilots and The Saints, as well as pick up players from 16 other teams. This year’s showing was the best for Seattle teams since the 2008 World Series.

To celebrate all these jocky victories, Purr will host a very special Welcome Home party for ALL the players and supporters, tonight, Friday, August 24th from 6pm to 9pm with a wealth of drink and food specials:
